Interesting Facts
- The parish center is designed so that the altar resides in the center of the symbolic North (summer), South (winter), East (spring), West (Fall) highlighted by stained glass windows colored for each liturgical and natural season.
- The Holy Disciples Logo embodies the mission statement.
- Circular Garden dedicated in memory of Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy. Holy Disciples is the only new Parish he founded during his tenure as Bishop/Archbishop in two Dioceses.
- The Tabernacle resides on a pillar of Northwestern Basalt and adorned with rare quilted maple. A second basalt pillar stands on the church grounds representing the church yet to be built.
- The altar is round and inclusive comprising 4 sets of 3 boards facing the 4 corners of the world and totaling 12 to represent the number of Apostles and Tribes of Israel. The altar is comprised of maple, sequoia and 600 year old pacific yew woods.
- The statues of two sacred images in the Eucharistic Chapel were imported from Italy. The Knights of Columbus and their ladies donated the Statue of Mary.
- Three projects to date have been completed by Eagle Scouts:
- Stations of the Cross (outside)
- Security fence and gate around the Food Bank HVAC system
- Clearing and landscaping behind and next to the food bank
